The thick red outline shows the location of the
existing park area to the West of Grove Street. Using the
drawing submitted with the planning application to locate the
wall boundary this was superimposed onto the pretty picture
below.
I wonder why this wasn't clearly
marked on the pretty plans offered up to a residents committee
meeting and how it can be thought that this is going to establish a
new and bigger park!

| Note the following: (i) Fountain North appear to be
counting the gardens of properties in Upper Grove Place as a public
area
(ii) the space previously occupied by
the play-ground has been taken from the former public park
area
(iii) the long white rectangles are
presumably houses with adjacent private gardens
(iv) another chunk of the former park
area will be occupied by a nursery
(v) Brandfield Street will now provide
access to car owners in the new complex who can presumably then
turn into a one way street and rapidly enter the congestion charge
zones at Haymarket or Tollcross
